Commissioning a Collage Portrait

Portrait artist, Cindy Gray, can be commissioned to create a powerfully expressive collage portrait that will tell the story of one’s life experience.  She will combine your personal, historical material and photographic source images with her artistic drive to create for you a visual legacy of life.   Using her choice of brush strokes, colors, composition, and texture, she will create a one of a kind, original mixed-media piece of artwork that will be enjoyed not only by this generation, but by generations to come.

The cost of commissioning a collage portrait by Cindy is $4,500 plus tax and shipping fees.  Included in the commission is one Giclee (zhee-KLAY) canvas print up to 38” x 30” (or an equivalent custom dimension) stretched and gallery wrapped onto a 3/4” frame.  If your commission requires travel, all travel and lodging expenses are in addition to the price listed above.  Cindy would also be glad to work with you on custom framing your piece; talk with her about pricing.  Reprints at various sizes are also available.

The commissioner will pay the artist in three equal installments. The first installment is due at the time of commission. Cindy will then create a compositional sketch for your approval. Once you are satisfied with the layout, the second installment is due. When the commission has been completed, you will be given the precise URL to enter the “Wet Paint” gallery of outofthegrayportraits.com website in order to view your finished work of art. The balance of the commission becomes due at that time. Once the final installment has been made, your portrait will then be transferred to canvas and arrangements for delivery will be made.

Each image is signed by the artist and shipped with an Artist Certificate of Authenticity. Commissions take two to three months from placement of the order..
